A brand new Tom Weisskopf 18-hole signature desert course was opened in the year 2001 in Cabo del Sol, his first in México.

     Planned to spread across 140 acres of gently rolling desert terrain, the "target style" golf course will also incorporate large landing areas and new forced carries to ensure an enjoyable golf experience for players of all levels according to Koll management. Construction costs are estimated to be $12 million and the course will offer desert and ocean views.

      They anticipate that 21,000 rounds will be played the first year and 36,000 rounds annually thereafter.
